Venue:

Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Sciences, University "Dunarea de Jos", Galati.
Situated at the same location as the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, 111, Strada Domneasca, SA Block.

Accommodation:

The university provides one- and two-bedroom appartments for the invited speakers; there are single and double rooms with a small bathroom (5DM per person) for the other participants from outside Galati. For those who will prefer the hotel, a single room in a three star hotel costs between 40 and 50 DM, and a double room -between 45 and 60 DM (breakfast included). Note that these prices are subject to changes according to the inflation rate.

Meals:

We will make a special arrangement with a restaurant conveniently located. Participants can take a full dayly meal (around 25DM) or make their own arrangements. There are lots of restaurants, pizzerias and other nice places where one can find your favourite dish for a very good price!

Coffee breaks:

Coffee, tea and cookies will be available during the breaks between sessions.

25 August 10-12 a.m., 15-17 p.m.,

Opening:

26 August, around 10 a.m. (after registration.)

Conference dinner and excursion:

A trip to the Danube Delta region will be organised on the 28th of August (for no extra cost). Participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Romanian fish meal at one of our monasteries. Please make sure you include an insect repellent in your luggage.

Getting to Galati:

Please let us know before 15 July your travel arrangemets and whether you require to be picked up at the airport. There are three trains a day travelling from Bucarest to Galati.

Important Remark:

The railway station, the University, flats, hotels and restaurants are all centrally located in Galati and within 10 minutes walking distance from each other.
